Chatham House Rule
The BSides Zadar conference is governed by the Chatham House Rule. This means that while attendees are free to use the information received, they must not reveal the identity or affiliation of any speaker, nor that of any other participant. Learn more about the Chatham House Rule here.
Be Excellent to Each Other
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at BSides Zadar must agree to and follow this code of conduct, which will be strictly enforced throughout the event. We expect everyone to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Our Commitment
BSides Zadar is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of skill, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
Recording and Photography
Recording or photographing the presentations, talks, and workshops is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by the organizer or the speaker. This policy is in place to respect the privacy and rights of our speakers and participants.
Inappropriate Behavior
Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, X/Twitter, and other online media. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
Offensive verbal comments related to skill, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion Sexual images in public spaces Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following Harassing photography or recording Sustained disruption of talks or other events Inappropriate physical contact Unwelcome sexual attention Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors and Exhibitors
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors must not use sexualized images, activities, or other materials. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not wear sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
Enforcement
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expelling them from the conference without a refund.
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference staff immediately.
Scope
We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events, as well as on social media.
