What We’re Looking For

We want real, useful information—no fluff or sales pitches. We’re here to learn from each other, hear new ideas, and get real insights from all corners of the infosec world, including professionals, freelancers, government staff, law enforcement, and hackers of all types.

We’re all about being vendor-neutral. While we appreciate the role of businesses in infosec, this isn’t the place for sales talks. Show us what you know and what you’ve done without turning it into a commercial.

What We’re Not Looking For

Our goal is to foster a rich and engaging dialogue at the conference. To help us achieve this, we kindly ask that you steer away of the following:

Sales Pitches
We're looking for genuine knowledge sharing, not product promotions.

Marketing Content
Keep it technical and focused on innovation rather than marketing.

Fear Mongering
We value presentations that empower and educate, not those that use fear as a driver.

Incomplete Proposals
Please make sure your proposal is complete and thought-out when you submit it.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping the content valuable and relevant to all attendees.

Talk Formats

Standard Slots
60 minutes (55 for talking, 5 for questions)

Short Slots

Please Note

While we're unable to cover travel, daily expenses, or presentation costs due to budget limits, we will be providing lunch for all our speakers. Also, we kindly ask that you stick to your allotted time to help ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone..

About Zadar

The city of Zadar, situated on the beautiful Dalmatian coast of Croatia, is known for its rich history and cultural significance. It is the oldest continuously inhabited Croatian city and is well-known for its Roman and Venetian ruins, medieval churches, and cosmopolitan culture. Zadar's unique attractions include the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation, which are modern architectural marvels that interact with nature.

Reaching Zadar

Zadar also serves as an important transport hub with excellent connections to the Croatian islands and the Adriatic Sea, making it a vibrant gateway for tourists exploring the region.

If you're spending the weekend in Zadar or simply want to skip the hassle of searching online, we've put together what we call Cyber Guest Intelligence.

sponsors

BSides Zadar conference is a free event that brings together security professionals for discussions and demos. It’s an opportunity for the infosec community to connect and share ideas. Though there’s no cost to attend, organizing the event does have expenses. We count on sponsor support to help cover essentials like venue costs, t-shirts, stickers, badges, and refreshments. While the event is not designed for marketing, sponsors can engage in ways that add value for attendees.

Why Sponsor?
Engage with a dynamic community in the cybersecurity field. Sponsoring the BSides Zadar conference places your brand in the midst of key discussions and developments, gaining visibility as participants engage with and discuss your contributions.

Benefits?
According to the official BSides organization, here are the benefits of sponsoring:

Want to Partner With Us?

Being part of the media conversation

As people talk about us they talk about you or at least see you.  Security BSides has been covered in magazines, podcasts, videocasts, blogs, and even inscribed on microchips.  Get caught up in the conversation and be part of what people are talking about.

Brand recognition and awareness

Depending on the level of sponsorship, you may recognize your brand placement at some or all of the following: t-shirts, signage/lanyards, lunch sessions, or attendee badges. Based on your level of participation, create and custom branding may be arranged including transportation, banners, and podcast interviews.

Big Fish in a Small Pond

For some, sponsoring large events is not within their price range leaving them with no option for communicating their message. BSides is just the place for you! This small, community atmosphere brings together active and engaged participants who want to absorb information. Sponsoring a BSides event enables to be that big fish in a small pond and better communicate your message to an active audience.

Stay in touch with the industry

BSides enables its supporters and participants to identify and connect with industry leaders and voices. These participants represent the social networking of security. They are the people who you want to engage to solicit feedback and bring voice to your conversation.

Targeted and Direct Audience

You didn't enter the security industry selling your product to everyone the same way, so why approach events that way? Instead of marketing to the broader "security" community connect directly with the security practioners who write about, talk about, recommend, and implement security products and services.

Be associated with the next big thing

Nobody knows what the “next big thing” will be, but these events are community driven with presentations voted upon by the industry. There is no magic to how it works, but we believe that listening to the underground can help prepare you and help identify what the next big thing might be.
